Broward County Ethics Ordinance O-2011-19 to requires lobbyist to register prior to communicating with an Elected Official and to complete a contact log prior to engaging in any communications regardless of the method (i.e., in person, email, phone, or U.S. mail). City of Deerfield Beach Code Section 2-16.5 “Registration of Lobbyist” further requires lobbyist to register and complete a contact log prior to seeking any action, decision, recommendation of the elected officials, city advisory board or committee members, or city staff during the time of the entire decision making process.
